Marilyn Sue Parker Mackey 1939-2009
Our loving and respected mother and grandmother, 70, returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 8, 2009. Marilyn was born August 29, 1939 to Don Carlos and Susie Marlow Parker. She was raised in Rexburg, ID.
Marilyn was an active member of the LDS church and was sealed to Clark S. Mackey in the Logan LDS temple on May 24,1968.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed reading and scrapbooking. She will be missed greatly by her family & others who were fortunate enough to know her.
Marilyn is survived by her Husband and all 7 of their children: Curtis, Travis (Melinda K.),Charles (Audra), Dennis (Gina),John, Robert (Melinda S.), & Amanda (Andrew) Belnap. Siblings:Luella, Keith, Carlos, & Elaine, & 7 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Eldon & Jeannine.
Funeral Services will be held Monday October 12,2009, 12:00 noon at the Center Third Ward 1955 W 400 N Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-7:30pm and Monday morning prior to services from 10:30-11:30am.
Interment Redwood Memorial 6500 S. Redwood Rd. West Jordan.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow at the funeral. I would say come on over afterward, but that doesn't work so well anymore.

Hannah is such a good big sister.   She loves to hold Olivia & play with her.  One day she got really quiet & I went in to check on her & she had fallen asleep with Olivia on her.  Tooo cute!!  Olivia 3 months old!  Trying to catch a smile on camera.  So Cute!!! Who really reads my blog???

Well I haven't been good at updating my blog the past little while & often wonder if anyone really even reads my blog. I enjoy reading blogs of friends and family & get bothered when they don't update for months at a time. Well now I'm that person that isn't updating my blog. (oops!!) So I wanted to pass along a little bit of news and happenings at our home lately. Parker is enjoying being a 1st grader. He loves school & has just recently found a true love of reading. His favorite books right now are the Junie B. Jones (series) & The Magic School bus (series). He can't wait for spring to be here so he can start playing soccer again. Hannah keeps us busy. She is definitely a girl and has the attitude that goes along with it. She enjoys her dance class every week and preschool 2 X's a week. Expressing my feelings.

So this post has taken me a long time to write. I never thought I was the kind of person that kept things inside, and didn't know how to express my feelings. Usually I confront things before they become an issue, but over the past 2 weeks I haven't known how to express my feelings on a particular situation. So since I think of the whole blogging thing as a form of Journal I thought no better way to get a few things off my mind. In November of 2007 I had a miscarriage, when I was 10 weeks pregnant. I didn't want anyone to know that I had a miscarriage so I just kept it inside. (I told family of course) Since then I have been unsuccessful in getting pregnant, so two weeks ago I finally went to talk to my Dr. When I was there he did the routine yearly exam and felt that I had a lump (Nodule) on my thyroid.
