Our Kids are growing up.

Image
Well I have been wanting to post this for a while but didn't want to jinx myself. Hannah is now officially potty trained!!! It's been over 2 weeks since she last wore a diaper. I have been wanting this for a while but it wasn't until she thought it was her idea that it all worked out. Parker loves to draw. He has become quite the little artist. This is his latest drawing of our dog Dewey. The big circle around his neck is his collar. He said it had to go all the way around. (The drawing was done on Hannah's Little Mermaid magna doodle)

Zoo Day!

Well I'ts been years since we went to the Zoo, so when Travis's brother (Robert) & his wife (Melinda) called and invited us to go we were excited. It was such a nice day, we didn't even have to wear jackets. Aaron, Rebekah, Parker & Hannah. Melinda, Hannah, Aaron & Robert. Rebekah & Parker Yes I was there too. Hannah & Parker playing at the big ball. The Boys. The girls being silly. We love our Cousins. Thanks Mackey's for inviting us to the Zoo. We had lots of fun.

Easter

We had such a fun Easter weekend. On Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt at the Layton IHC clinic. The kids had fun and got lots of candy, toys, & free kids meal coupons to local restaurants. On Sunday morning the kids woke up to an Easter Scavenger Hunt for their baskets. They had so much fun finding the clues. After they found the actual baskets Parker asked if we could hide more Clues. Parker and Hannah. (I was gone Saturday night and Travis put them to bed and in their pajamas. I didn't realize how ridiculous they looked until I loaded these pics onto blogger. oh well.) Hannah finally got a Barbie Doll. She's been wanting one for awhile. Parker got a T-Ball set. He was quite excited. The Chocolate bunny was quite a hit with Parker.

Green Day!

Image
So I know St. Patty's day was Monday, but this has been a crazy week. I have always loved St. Patricks Day. We usually go all out with the green. Here is a pic of our St. Patty's day dinner. Yes everything is dyed green. We had chicken & spinach alfredo on Pasta, with a spinach salad, garlic bread w/ green butter, green punch & green cake. Parker & Hannah really enjoyed everything and thought it was fun to eat green food. Travis thought the dinner looked disgusting, but he ate it anyways. Here's Hannah all dressed in Green!! Parker was playing on Monday and scratched his nose. I told him he was fine & sent him back off the play while I was cooking dinner. He came into the kitchen looking like this. You gotta love the bandaid on his nose. I couldn't stop laughing he looked quite funny.

Hannah's cute prayer

One of the greatest moments for a parent is when you child remembers all the things you try to teach them. Yesterday Travis wasn't feeling well at all and stayed home from work. I had set Hannah at the table in the kitchen with a bowl of cereal. Travis came down and started eating cereal with her and she said, "Wait Daddy we have to say a prayer." (even though they had both already ate about 1/2 their bowls at this time) She started her prayer blessed the food and our family and went on to the extended family and then said, "Thankful for president Hinckley died and we have a new prophet president monson", she then looked up at Travis and said,"I love president Monson." Then finished her prayer and kept eating her cereal. It's been fun for us to see the things that Hannah remembers. She's been alot different than Parker was at her age. She tells me to go to timeout at least 2 x's a day and it never fails that she is in the room when I'm
