Mackey Family

This past Saturday Travis, along with 7 other of our family members participated in a 5k Mud Run obstacle course.    Angelee, Travis, Kevin, Shaylee Mom, Jaycee, Austin, Spencer They had to crawl under a barb wire fence. They got super muddy!!      Climb up hills Running/Walking. There were tons of different obstacles like: Fire, Monkey bars, A big Water slide, Tire obstacle, 12 ft fence, cargo net, Tunnels etc.. It was fun to watch them all participate in this. What they looked like after the Race.

Today was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A.  We decided to join in on the fun.  We dressed up like cows & went to our local Chick-fil-A for a FREE lunch.   Yes we looked kind of ridiculous, but it was a fun thing to all do together.  We went with our neighbors the Floyds & we looked great.  Here are pics of the kids.  I didn't want to get a pic of me, at almost 36weeks pregnant I already feel like a COW so dressing like one was interesting.  The poor people at the mall that had to see me.  Oh well.  Cute Trevor.  He loved his face being painted.    Hannah.  This Cow even has to wear a bow!!  Parker.  He made pointed cow ears, that looked a little like horns.  The Mackey & Floyd Kids all dressed up!! What a fun day we had!!

Well it's been almost 6 months since I last posted anything.  Wow how time flies and things change. I just thought I'd take a minute to post an update in case anyone is even checking this blog anymore. School is over for the year, which means that Hannah is done with 1st grade & Parker is done with 3rd grade.  They both did really well in school this year.  Parker did well enough on his end of level testing that he was awarded a medal with 2 stars showing significant improvement over last year.  We are so proud of both of them.  Trevor has kept us all busy these past 6 months.  He has sure grown up to be quite the little toddler.  He is talking WAY more than our other kids did at this age.  His vocabulary & memory surprise us daily.  He is so much fun.  In other news We are expecting Baby Girl Mackey in less than 8 weeks.  This was a TOTAL surprise and shock to us.  We have come to terms with having another chi...

Wow today has been a CRAZY day.  The wind has been doing some damage here in Utah.  There are about 40,000 people without power (my parents are one of them). & the expected repair time is 48hours. As I type this right now the wind is still going strong outside.  This tree used to be at the end of our street.  It was completely uprooted. Parker, our friend Taylor, & Hannah posing with the giant tree. This was a very typical scene today on every news channel & all along I-15. I just wanted to document this day, cause it has been interesting. I am so thankful for my home.  For the warmth it is providing me & my family today.

Welcome back to our Blog!! I have totally missed blogging. It was kind of a way to get my feelings and frustrations out. It was also a good way to document all of the fun & crazy things we do in our family. Well I've seen the light & I'm BACK. We have had a lot of fun since I wrote last in May. Our Summer was BUSY! We went camping several times, spent lots of time at Lagoon, and enjoyed sleeping in almost every morning. (Thank you Mackey Kids, for being AMAZING sleepers!!) Speaking of our kiddos, they are sure growing up! Parker is in 3rd Grade this year & is LOVING it. He is a very smart boy. We were able to get him new hearing aids right at the beginning of this school year & he is doing an amazing job with them. I am always amazed and grateful for the technology that is available today. I can't believe that it has been 2 months since I posted last. I have several posts that I've started but never finished & life just keeps on moving right along. I can't believe that I never posted my St. Patricks dinner pic's. My kids look forward to our Green dinner every year. (Green chicken, green potatoes with Green Gravy, Green beans & Green rolls with Green lemonade) I can't believe that Easter came & went & I didn't post any of my cute Easter pics. I can't believe that the school year will be over in 16 more days. I have really loved both Hannah & Parker's teacher's this year. I can't believe that my baby will be 10 months old next Monday. That he weighs over 21lbs. & that has his 2 nd double ear infection :( I can't believe that I didn't post anything about Hannah turning 6 in April. Well it's been forever since I posted so I thought I'd give an update. We are all doing well. Travis & I both celebrated our birthdays over the last month. It was fun. Especially Travis's. I had a Surprise "40 th " Party for him & it was a total Surprise for him. We're just all doing the same old stuff. I keep busy with 3 kids, volunteering at the elementary school & being the Wolf den leader working with 8yr old boys. Travis keeps busy at work & with church responsibilities. Parker is still enjoying school & loves to read & LOVES music. Hannah is still all girl & loves to dress up & play with her barbies. Trevor has done the most change wise. He is getting so big, it makes me sad, I want him to still be a baby. Here he is in his cute Elephant outfit.
