Fall happenings!!

My favorite time of year is probably Fall, when the weather gets cooler. It's fun to curl up & read a good book, or make/eat yummy soup, and get into the Halloween Spirit.

We started this month off at a Halloween Carnival held at the kids elementary school.

This was 2 days after Parker broke his arm, so he still wasn't feeling too well.

Last week was red ribbon week at school & each day had a theme & you could dress up. This is Parker's hair for crazy hair day. we shaved an arrow in his hair.

We have some great neighbors and friends in our area & earlier this year we became part of a "date night" group. There is 4 families and each couple gets to go on a date 3 Fridays a month & then 1 Friday each month you watch all the kids from 6-9:30pm (13 of them to be exact, ranging from 1 1/2-10years). It's been a great way to actually go on dates without kids.(except Trevor he is too young to be a part)

So yesterday was our turn to watch the kids. We had a mini Halloween party & we had tons of fun.

They had to eat donuts hung from a string!

We played ring toss, had a coloring contest & decorated cookies.

We ended the night with a glow stick parade outside. Too bad you can't see the glow sticks glowing in the pics. The kids each had 10 glow sticks & looked awesome outside in the dark.

So we finally went to Lagoon for Frightmares this season.

We had so much fun there today. The weather was very cool & there were no lines on the kiddie rides. We only stayed for about 3 hours, but left right before it started raining.

We are all excited for Halloween coming up next week & will post pics of that later.
